How To Close Apps On Moto G5 Plus
Google Play is an entertainment hub full of music, movies, books, apps, and games. You can instantly access your content from all your Android devices.
To open an application, swipe up on your favorites tray, then touch the app to open.
Close apps
To get out of an app, touch to return to your home screen.
You don't need to close apps. Android manages the memory and battery that apps use, so you don't need to worry about leaving apps open.
To remove apps from your recently used list:
- Touch
- Do one of the following:
- To remove one app, swipe left or right to remove it from the list.
- To remove all apps, swipe to the top of the list and touch CLEAR ALL
Switch between recent apps from anywhere
- Touch to see your recently used apps.
- In your list of recent apps:
- Touch any app to return to it.
- Scroll to see more apps.
- Swipe an app left or right to remove it from the list.
Get apps from Google Play Store
- Open the Play Store app.
- Browse by category or search.
- Touch an item to see a description, read reviews, and download it.
You'll see in the status bar when the app has downloaded and installed successfully.
Get apps from other sources
- Open the Chrome app and go to the appropriate site to download the app.
If you see a warning, touch OK to continue.
You'll see in the status bar when the download completes. - Touch the download notification to install the app. Or, open the Files app to install it later.
- When installing the app, be sure to review what information the app will access. If you don't want the app to access this information, cancel the installation. For example, if you're installing an app that makes a shopping list, the app should not require access to your contacts.
Clear apps cache or data
Clearing the cache and data can free up phone memory, improve performance, and fix some problems with apps and web pages.
- Touch & hold the app icon, then touch
- Do one of the following:
- To free up space by removing temporary files, touch Storage > Clear cache. Over time, the cache builds up again, so repeat if a problem occurs.
- If problems still occur, then delete all data saved in the app by touching Storage > Clear data. Be careful - there's no way to undo this.
